studying the Salem Witch Trials. We will be reading a very important piece of
American literature, The Crucible, as well as watching a movie based on
the book. The objective of this study will be for you to better understand the
characteristics of religious development in Colonial America. | |
| The Study Guide will not be posted
until Monday, February 10th for the test on Wednesday the 12th. |

Monday: The class will begin reading Arthur Miller's classic, The Crucible. NO HOMEWORK FOR TONIGHT.
Tuesday: Finish reading The Crucible. HOMEWORK: Rewrite your favorite scene using a modern-day approach.
Wednesday: Discussion about the homework. HOMEWORK: Write 3 sentences with each vocabulary word - using them in the same context as given. Click here for Vocabulary Words.
Thursday:
Introduction of the facts behind the Salem Witch Trials.
A chronology of events. HOMEWORK: Don't forget to
bring your current event.
Friday:
PowerPoint on the Salem Witch Trials followed by Q&A.
HOMEWORK: Pick 2 out of 4 discussion questions to answer in no more than
half a page.

Tuesday: Review for test. Don't forget to bring reading material for after the test.
Wednesday: Test on the Salem Witch Trials.
Thursday: MOVIE TIME - The Crucible starring Winona Ryder. HOMEWORK: Don't forget your current event.
Friday: Turn in current event. Finish up movie.
